Taos ORGANIZATIONS
Animal Search and Rescue Gold Star K-9 and Mounted Search and Rescue is a non-profit organization based in Taos, NM that has several volunteer programs and are called to find lost, ill or injured people in wilderness areas of Northern NM. In addition, its Animals Helping People provides Dog Visitation and Therapy programs to nursing homes, schools, libraries, hospitals, and family and children counseling services.
Spoken Word and Poetry Archive Minor Heron presents the archives of the Taos Poetry Circus on videotape and DVD. 22 yeart of the best in poetry performances live featuring Allen Ginsberg, Gregory Corso, Sherman Alexie, Saul Williams, Jimmy Santiago Baca, Victor Hernandez Cruz, Wanda Coleman, Bob Holman, Ed Sanders, Ed Dorn.
